Accessibility statement
We aim to make Public Sector Calculators usable for as many people as possible, including keyboard and assistive technology users.

Our intent
We design pages to align with the spirit of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA: readable text, visible focus, semantic headings, labelled form controls, and meaningful link text. Calculators run in your browser; core guides and FAQs remain available as HTML when JavaScript is off.
Keyboard and navigation
Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move through links and controls. A Skip to main content link appears at the start of each page. Header role search supports arrow keys, Escape and listbox semantics when suggestions are open. Menu dropdowns close with Escape. On phones, the Search and Menu panels also close with Escape and return focus to their button.
Known limits
- Live calculator results and some charts need JavaScript.
- Third-party ads or analytics (when consented) may not meet the same standard as our own pages.
- Some older PDF or external official sources we link to are outside our control.
Contact
If you find a barrier, email accessibility feedback with the page URL and what you were trying to do. We prioritise fixes that block core calculator journeys.
