Choose your scheme

Five deep calculators with year-by-year accrual, combined sections where applicable, and links to full retirement modelling on our sister site.

Accurate UK pension information

UK public sector pension rules, accrual and benefits differ for each scheme (NHS Pension, Teachers' Pension, Civil Service Pension, LGPS, AFPS, police, fire, etc.). For accurate figures and your personal entitlement, always use:

  • Your scheme's official UK website and member portal
  • Your annual benefit statement (the definitive source for your own pension)
  • Your employer or scheme administrator for scheme-specific rules

In more than one scheme?

If you have built up pension in multiple UK public sector schemes (e.g. NHS then civil service, or teachers then LGPS), each scheme keeps a separate record. You need to check each scheme for your own accurate figures and for options such as transfers or combining benefits. This site links you to the right UK scheme by organisation; we do not hold or calculate your personal pension data.

About these calculators

Five flagship scheme calculators

We built deep pension calculators for the schemes most UK public sector workers use: NHS Pension (with optional combined 1995/2008/2015), Teachers' Pension, Civil Service Alpha, LGPS and Police 2015. Each uses year-by-year CARE accrual, band or payslip gross, date of birth to normal pension age, and optional combined legacy sections.

Always use your annual benefit statement

These tools are for illustrative planning only. Your scheme administrator and annual benefit statement are the definitive sources. Early retirement reductions and commutation use illustrative scheme factors. For McCloud remedy, State Pension and full cashflow modelling, see Retirement Calculators.
